Downtime at work?

Here's a surprise: my ear hurts.

I'd really love it if a friend offered to fly down to Albuquerque and drive back to Vancouver with me at the end of the month. I'd like to leave sometime around August 27, 28, or 29th. It's a 2-3 day trip, depending on how much time you spend each day driving, and how fast. It'd make a really fun road trip, I promise. =) My parents have both offered to make the trip with me, but it would be 1000 times more fun to do it with a friend. Thing is, it's already getting down to the wire as far as buying plane tickets, so I need for someone to volunteer soon. I'm no good at persuading people to do anything, even when it's something really cool. *frown*

I'm kinda worried about Mario. I haven't heard from him since Tuesday evening, when I talked with him online for all of fifteen minutes between his arriving home from a hike and going out to play pool with some friends. I left a voicemail yesterday afternoon just saying hello and seeing how his second day off went, but he hasn't called or emailed or anything. I'm not going to call again, but I'm curious as to what's going on.

For future reference:

-Dating someone who works nights when you work days is a stupid arrangement.

-So is bothering to make friends when you're going to be moving away forever within a couple months.

Random thoughts:

-I had a chocolate cookie last night. It was delicious. Yes, I'm still thinking about it.

-I called Jason on el telephono when I finished my cookie. Talking with friends you miss is also delicious.

-I don't know what to make for dinner tonight.
